Time Clock TerminalBack

Here is how to mount an old phone at the front desk or office as a dedicated clock-in terminal for tracking attendance.

01Use Cases

02What You Need & Steps

  1. Place the old phone somewhere it can stay plugged in, such as the reception counter
  2. Install a cloud attendance service that supports QR-code clock-in (see below) and leave it running in kiosk mode
  3. Employees clock in by tapping with a QR code, an IC/NFC card, or face recognition
  4. Turn off screen auto-lock/sleep in the settings so it stays ready

03Recommended Apps & Services

HRMOS KintaiSupports QR-code clock-in; free for 30 employees or fewer, works on PC/phone/tablet. Official site
Kintai MiraiQR-code clock-in from iPhone/iPad, suited to larger organizations. Official site
CLOUZAQR-code clock-in, 220 yen per employee per month. Official site
A simple homemade clock-in pageYou can also keep a simple webpage open where staff pick their name and press "clock in / clock out"

04Notes

Attendance-management services require a subscription and sign-up. Please handle the contract yourself.

An older device may run an OS too old for the app to support. Check the required OS version before signing up.

What's Next:We are planning a simple homemade clock-in page linked to the MotoHarbour site, so it can be used without any subscription.
